Date: April 19th, 2023

2023 BMW 3 Series

Your BMW 3 Series is a finely-crafted piece of machinery, but it will still require routine service from time to time. Keeping up with the BMW 3 Series maintenance schedule is a must if you want your vehicle to perform at its best for as long as possible. We understand that keeping track of BMW 3 Series oil change intervals and more can be a challenge. That is why we have created this guide to the BMW 3 Series service schedule. Simply follow this guide, and your vehicle should be prepared and safe for the roads of Portland and Tigard.

BMW 3 Series Service Schedule

The BMW 3 Series service schedule includes BMW 3 Series oil change intervals and more to help you track the maintenance your vehicle requires. Let’s break it down more in-depth below.

Bi-Annual Services

The services listed below should be performed approximately 6 months after you take your new vehicle home, at the 5,000 to 10,000-mile mark. They should then be performed at least twice a year for the duration you own the vehicle.

  • Oil and Filter Change
  • Tire Rotation
  • Brake Inspection

Every 30,000 Miles

At the 30,000-mile mark in the BMW 3 Series maintenance schedule, you’ll want to head back to the shop for a variety of inspections and maintenance care checks.

  • Air filter changes: Air filters get clogged over time, so at this point, they are no longer working at their best. If you travel in particularly dusty environments, you’ll want to change the filter approximately every 15,000 miles.
  • Fuel filter inspection: Your technician can perform a pressure test to determine if the fuel filter needs replacement.

Every 60,000 Miles

Your 60,000-mile maintenance service will happen at around four or five years into ownership for the average driver. Here is what it will include:

  • Brake Rotor, Pads, and Shoes Inspections and Replacements
  • Brake Fluid Replacement
  • Coolant Replacement
  • Transmission Fluid Replacement

Keep in mind that this is also around the time your battery will start wearing down, so it is a good idea to have it looked at and possibly replaced.

Every 90,000 Miles

At this service interval, we will take care of inspecting hoses, belts, and spark plugs. Power steering fluid should also be replaced when we perform these tasks:

  • Timing belt replacement
  • Replace hoses
  • Replace spark plugs
  • Rotate rotors or replace rotors
  • Fuel system cleaning
  • Complete inspection
